Rachel Abramson

Dr. Abramson sees clients who have concerns with anxiety, health anxiety, sleeping difficulties, stress, trauma, grief, bereavement and depression. Clients may also come to see her if a loved one has been given a terminal diagnosis or because of difficulties in relationships (home and work). Dr. Abramson also works with clients who have an eating disorder. She takes a HAES perspective (health at every size) and works with those typically living in larger bodies. ED clients may have problems with comfort eating, overeating, binge eating disorder, bulimia nervosa, other specified feeding or eating disorder (OSFED) or avoidant/restrictive food intake disorder (ARFID). Dr. Rachel Abramson is an organisational, health and counselling psychologist. She is also a Credentialed Eating Disorders Clinician. She is a member of the Australian Psychological Society and a fellow of the APS College of Organisational Psychologists, APS College of Health Psychologists and APS College of Counselling Psychologists. She has an interest in healthy aging across the lifespan (both in terms of longevity and quality of life as we age). She helps adults and older adults work through their concerns using a combination of CBT, CBT-E, hypnotherapy and schema therapy. The goal of which is to help clients heal their own vulnerabilties from a position of strength and resourcefulness
